Surrender is my biggest victory

I am exhausted of living life on someone else’s terms. Tired of expressing myself through the opinions of other people. Bound by my own limitations, locked inside the uncomfortable comfort zone. My hands tied up in a knot of fear and shame. It’s so old I don’t even remember what I am ashamed of.

I teach people about love, yet still can’t say I love myself, fully. Every time I step into a room full of people, every time I approach a woman, I get that that suffocating feeling – gasping for air. That little child inside of me wondering: will you love me?

Yet in order to be rejected, I have to reject myself first! In order to be loved, I have to love myself first! So don’t let anybody tell you it’s selfish to love yourself. It takes guts to love somebody; especially yourself. It takes courage to look in the mirror and say: “I LOVE YOU!”

Time for change

I am exhausted and tired of fighting against myself. I drop my weapons of self destruction. It’s time to pick up the the pieces of my broken heart. Hands in prayer, drenched in blood, my own.

I can only lose what I never had. I can only die to what I am not. Surrender is my biggest victory. The war is over and I am winning myself back.
