I have a dream….
I was enjoying a great second session of a day full of love, empowerment and inspiration. After watching the Sparks of LIGHT feelgoodmovie together and doing shared our storries, we fineshed up and enojoyed some thea, home made cheese cake, chatting a bit.
One of the young woman that I had met about 1,5 years earlier was staring in the blank murmuring that she had so much to share with me but that she blanked out. The first time I had met her she was having a really difficult time. This time something was different about her. She looked so vibrant and was full of life. Why where eyes filling up with tears? I gave her a hug, letting her know that everything was okay. Than she started talking again and she said that she was meant to come to one of my events earlier but that it hadn’t worked out somehow. She told me how my bookSchonen, Dromen & Ordinaire Fun helped her through her difficult times. That she read some of the sentences over and over again or wrote 6 or more pages in her journal reflecting on her own life in the matter, soul searching.
I felt overwhelmed and ‘greatfull’ at the same time. WOW was this really the effect that my book had on people? I get a lot of mails about how it had effected peoples lives or just how they enjoyed it. But it feels like an extra blessing to hear people TELL me themselves what my story had done for them AND SEE the effect in their eyes, their energy and daily life.
Just before that, one of my best friends, who had seen the movie Sparks of LIGHT | LICHTpuntjes for the 3rd time shared that the docu touched her heart every time she saw it. I had my periods of low energy (burnout and depression in 2007 – 2008) and immense pain (brain-root concussion in 2011-2012) and she was so happy to so how every thing turned out.
These days I am high on live. During the comments of these ladies it just hit me. I AM living my dream, for real! When I discovered my true dreams in 2012 I knew I wanted to inspire others to inspire themselves (and more)… And that is exactly what is happening at the moment.
When I read my email that night I had gotten a mail from someone I’ve met during an event, who had also bought my book, thanking me for meeting me!
I feel so blessed that my path of service and purpose have met. And it is attracting so many people. I’m being asked to join inspirational networks, video recordings, interviews for articles & magazines, inspiration sessions for management teams, team & organisation building sessions. AND people want to work with me, because they want to follow their passions and dreams to while sharing their greatest gift with others: the talents they where born with. Talents and passion that they have been carrying within them… waiting to be revealed like presents that haven’t been unwrapped yet.
I feel so blessed that I am appreciated for ‘just’ being me and sharing the most ‘beautiful’l thing I have to offer with the world and that is my true self (for as far as I’ve uncovered it ;-)).
Someone once said to me: “You practice what you preach and you preach what you practice”.. I guess that is one of the most ‘beautifull’ complements I have ever had.
